We are Initiative

We look for dynamic people with a passion for culture. We are a lively bunch; quick-witted and gifted in ways that have no role in the workplace but that make us interesting to have around. It's fun to work hereā€¦ and as you can tell from our profiles we enjoy it.

As I’m pretty new to the industry I am still learning different things every day, especially as the digital world is ever evolving.

I have just about got to grips with the digital media landscape so my next challenge is to learn about how the rest of the media agency works together to produce an engaging campaign through all our other platforms.

As an apprentice, I am learning something new every day and from some of the best professionals in the industry, which is obviously very exciting!

Jody Louie

Creative Director

I am the design lead for how stuff looks: visualising our ideas and stories for clients, plus our marketing (like this website) and presentations for the agency. Every day is different and challenging. But then, I love solving problems so it works out well. I sit on the "odds & sods" pod of desks at the front of the Agency - good chat, bad singing.

Amy cumbers 1200 s420x420 q80 noupscale

Amy Cumbers

Senior Planning Executive

I am a Media planner working across a diverse portfolio of brands. My job role varies on a day to day basis as I get to work across all media within an array of consumer markets.

I love that I never know what to expect and how I get to interact with both clients and media owners. I am lucky enough to be involved in all key stages of a media campaign, from the initial audience research and comms stage to actually activating the campaign in our chosen media.

It is extremely rewarding and there is a real sense of achievement when a campaign you have owned from start to finish goes live and is a success.

If you could go back in time where would you go?
I would go back to university. I would definitely appreciate it more now. Or I would love to go back to Asia. I went travelling for 3 months a couple of years back and it was amazing!!

Cat or dog?
As I own a cat I would have to say cat…. Apparently (according to my team) I talk about her far too much and am currently getting a name for myself as ‘the crazy cat woman’

Worst job you’ve done:
I worked on Romford Market (fruit stall) whilst at 6th form. I actually quite enjoyed this job however in the winter it got fairly cold and trying to open up the blue plastic bags whilst wearing gloves was not one of my finest moments!

I work on planning across digital, print and outdoor. My job is to interact with clients and media owners on a daily basis to create great plans for the brands I’m working on. I love being able to see the campaigns I’ve worked on go live and be successful! It’s always fun to see our clients’ ads in action, whether that’s in Vogue or on Facebook.

If I wasn’t working in media I’d be...
An interior architect. When I was little I could spend hours studying the IKEA catalogue and designing my dream house!

If you could go back in time where would you go?
I would go to the sixties in New York and hang out at Andy Warhol’s Factory.

Who would play you in the film of your life?
