Gengahr: A Dream Outside

With all the noise surrounding Wolf Alice’s debut release this week (which is justified though, as the album’s a corker), Gengahr’s (pronounced “Geng-er”, named after a Pokemon apparently) debut album “A Dream Outside” slipped under the radar when it was released a couple of weeks ago.

Ignore it at your peril: The album is refreshing, melodic and doesn’t really sound like anything else out there at the moment. Very excited to say that I’ve got my ticket booked to see them at the Scala in October, as they’re meant to be great live too – although I am especially keen to see how the lead singer will keep singing that high for a full hour!
